DYNAMIC DISCS OPEN PREVIEW
The eighth Elite stop of the Disc Golf Pro Tour starts today at the Dynamic Discs Open in Emporia, Kansas.

Held at the Emporia Country Club, the Dynamic Discs Open was previously known as the Glass Blown Open due to the original glass trophies designed by Hal Berger.
In 2020, the decision was made to rename the event. While Emporia is known for glass blowing, disc golf is just as important. It was renamed Dynamic Discs Open after the disc manufacturer of the same name that is headquartered in Emporia, Kansas.

First-round live coverage is available on the DGPT YouTube channel.

👀 What we’re watching
DDO will be Ricky Wysocki’s seventh DGPT tournament of the year. Through his six events to date, he has 1 DNF, 4 top-ten finishes, and an 11th-place finish. He coming off of a victory at the Cascade Challenge and 9th place at the Portland Open two weeks ago. He’ll be looking to get back on the podium again this weekend
Aaron Gossage tied for 3rd last year in this event and has not finished outside 7th place in his last three tournaments which includes a second-place finish at the Elite+ Portland Open.
Having a tough start to the year, Brodie Smith has only cracked into the top ten once so far, and it was in a Silver event. However, he tied Aaron Gossage and three others for 3rd place last year at DDO. Let’s see if can turn things around and have another solid showing in Emporia
Kristin Tattar has been too dominating not to be in the discussion each week as a serious contender to win every tournament. She won DDO in 2022 and has back-to-back wins in her last two events. The course at ECC sets her up well to make it three in a row.
Getting big distance can help a lot at DDO, and Ella Hansen is one of the farthest-throwing FPO players on tour. She placed third in this event last year. We’ll see if she can do just as well if not better this year.
