Another round, another disc lost
BULLSEYE
As the temps outside get lower, scores typically get higher. Not to mention an increase of the amount of discs lost to the leaves, snow, or water.
Some tips for playing in cold weather:
Dress warm, as obvious as that sounds you may be surprised at what you can see on a course
Take is slow while you're playing. You may not be able to do your full run up or get max power, but as long as you stay on the fairway you will probably be do better than your friends
Common sense to some, but not to others, if it's snowing, leave your white discs at home. Hopefully that's self explanatory. Also, if it's snowing a lot, it may be best to stay close to a basket and just practice putting
THE COLLEGIATE CIRCLE
While most of us were gearing up for a holiday with the fam, disc golfers in the college realm were getting ready for the Texas Collegiate Championship-Regional Qualifier. The Regional Qualifier hosted Singles, Team, and Alumni and Friends tournaments.
Not surprisingly, Texas colleges took home Gold, Silver, and Bronze in the Singles and the Alumni and Friends tournaments. They also placed 2nd and 3rd in the Team competition but lost 1st place to Oklahoma Christian University led by Landon Clark.
Next on the schedule for college athletes are the College Disc Golf Rocky Mountain Regional Conference Championships for Singles and Teams. Held in Fort Collins, Colorado this upcoming weekend. Thankfully the next few days should be warm enough to melt the snow they just got, so rest assured you're still safe to keep throwing those white discs.

IF YOU WERE CURIOUS...
There were 8 new discs approved by the PDGA in the last 24 hours. 4 from Discmania (CD1, DD1, FD1, and Tailor), 2 from Lone Star Discs (Bayonet and Nimitz), and 1 from Pie Pan Discs (Spire).
If you haven't heard of Pie Pan Discs until now, they have been committed to their kitchen theme. They have discs named, Butter Line, Eggs Out, Bakers Blend, and Cherry Grunt. Not sure how a spire fits into cooking but where there's a will there's a way.
If you were counting, that was only 7 discs. The 8th? Well it's from Perks and Re-creation called, Death.
Sounds like Greg Daniels is giving up his career behind the big screen to pursue a new hobby, making deadly discs.

If the lie has been marked by a marker disc, then when the disc is released, the player must:
1. Have at least one supporting point that is in contact with the lie; and,
2. Have no supporting point closer to the target than the rear edge of the marker disc; and,
3. Have all supporting points in-bounds
