BULLSEYE

Want to get an invite to the 2024 World Championships? The PDGA released the Invitation To Register Criteria for Amateur, Junior, Masters, MPO, and FPO divisions.

Here's a breakdown of eligibility and invitation criteria for MPO and FPO players.

  • Must be a Professional-class PDGA member.

  • Must have been a current 2023 Professional-class PDGA member by December 15, 2023.

  • Must have completed three (3) PDGA-sanctioned events during the 2023 PDGA Tour year.

  • Must have had a rated round during the 2023 PDGA Tour year.

Once you check those four boxes, you must meet the minimum rating requirement.

The 2023 MPO and FPO World Champions receive an automatic invite to the 2024 event. The PDGA will then invite all those eligible to register during registration tier #1. After which, they will work down the list of subsequent tiers, inviting eligible players.

If you didn't get the invite, stick to your new year's resolution and don't let that FOMO set in, you still have a chance.

After the three invitation tiers, the PDGA will offer two additional registration tiers. One for all current pros and another for all current amateurs. However, you still must meet the minimum current rating to register

RULE OF THE DAY

F. 2. Wrong Target. The player has completed play on a target that is not the correct target for the hole being played. If no subsequent throw has been made, play continues from the resulting lie. If the target is a basket target, then the disc is above the playing surface and play proceeds according to 805.01.C. If the player has teed off on the next hole, two penalty throws are added to the score for the misplayed hole.
