BULLSEYE

There are 37 days left until the first DGPT event of the year, the Las Vegas Challenge. Players will compete on courses hosted at Wildhorse Golf Club in Henderson, Nevada.

Tickets for the LVC are now on sale at the DGPT ticketing page. Here are the ticket breakdowns:

  • Full Event Pass - $120 plus fees - full access to spectator areas and various activities for the entire event (23rd - 26th)

  • Weekend Pass - $80 plus fees - full access to spectator areas and various activities for Saturday and Sunday only (25th and 26th)

  • Throw Pink VIP Pass - $200 plus fees - includes everything in the Full Event Pass, a commemorative INNColor disc (only 150 made), a Halo Throw Pink Mirage disc (only 100 available), a lapel pin, access to the VIP lounge, and attendance to the Player's Meeting on 2/22

  • Platinum VIP Pass - $300 plus fees - includes everything in the Throw Pink VIP Pass, a limited-edition VIP INNColor disc (only 50 made), an on-site parking pass, a Factory Store LVC Firebird/Destroyer, and a Cut-In-Line Pass

  • Daily passes are also available ranging from $5 to $50 plus fees.

Currently, 175 of the 180 MPO and FPO spots have been registered. Practice play will be from February 19th-22nd, and formal play begins on the 23rd.

On January 31st, Wave Two Event Tickets go on sale. There will be nine events included in the Wave Two Event sale.

COLLEGIATE CIRCLE

College Disc Golf will have its first event of 2023 starting on the 28th. The North Florida Collegiate Classic, a regional event, will be hosted at the New World Sports Complex in Jacksonville, Florida.

Players will compete at the Green Course in Team Doubles in the morning and Singles in the afternoon on Saturday the 28th. On Sunday, Teams Doubles will wrap up the tournament in the morning at the Red Course (2022 DGPT Silver event layout).

Colleges represented in the event will include the #5 ranked North Carolina State University.

CIRCLE'S EDGE
  • Jake Monn signed a one-year contract with Discraft. Not bad considering he is only 17 years old.

  • It's been one month since Paige Shue announced her departure from Dynamic Discs after 13 years with the team. She just announced she will be with Discraft for the 2023 season.

  • Austin Turner will be representing Team DGA. He signed a one-year contract for the 2023 season.

  • Linus Carlsson committed to Team Latitude 64 until 2027 after signing a 5-year contract extension.

  • After an unfortunate injury to her left ankle, Valerie Mandujano posted she may miss the first two events of the year (All-Star Weekend and LVC).

RULE OF THE DAY

C. If a disc comes to rest above the playing surface, its position is on the playing surface directly below the disc. If there is no playing surface below the disc, then its position is on the playing surface directly above the disc.
