2,900 HOLES IN 24 HOURS

Do you know the most holes you have played in a single day? 18? 36? 72?! Mike Sale took a “quick round” to the next level.

On September 12, 2014, Mike set the Guinness World Record at 2,900 for most disc golf holes played in 24 hours. He logged 114 aces during the record attempt. That’s nearly a 4% ace rate.

Mike’s purpose for the attempt was to raise money for victims of a shooting at his school, the University of California, Santa Barbara, a few months prior.

For the record, he played the Tiki Course at The Blockhouse Disc Golf & Country Club in Spotsylvania, Virginia. It was an 18-hole, par 36 course, totaling a distance of 1,535 feet.

Mike Sale, PDGA #46910 is a professional disc golfer playing on Team Dynamic Discs and competes in several DGPT events yearly. He finished the 2022 DGPT season ranked 248th.

Philo Brathwaite lead the MPO division the entire weekend and ultimately won by a 2-stroke margin with a score of -36. View Georgiou, a Thailand native, won the FPO division by 8 strokes, finishing the tournament at even.

2023 NADGT Premier Tour @ International Disc Golf Center - February 4-5 - Appling, Georgia

Marshall Eippert hit a circle’s edge putt on hole 18 to take Daniel Powell to a sudden-death playoff, where Marshall was able to take 1st place with a score of -9 in the MA1 division. Leah Jennings claimed 1st in the FA1 division with a score of +5.

CIRCLE’S EDGE

• The European Pro Tour added five EPT-X events to the 2023 schedule. The EPT-X events are not a tour but are hosted for disc golfers of all levels.

• Ace Run Pro released its tentative 2023 coverage schedule. The LVC, starting on February 23rd will be its first coverage of the year.
