BULLSEYE

Yesterday, Simon Lizotte officially signed a 10-year deal with MVP. It is the largest contract since Paul McBeth signed a 10-year $10 million contract extension with Discraft in 2021.

While all the details have yet to be released, we know Simon will be guaranteed seven figures per year, a six-figure signing bonus, and uncapped earnings through disc sales and performance bonuses. Simon joins Paul McBeth and Ricky Wysocki to become the 3rd player guaranteed a seven-figure yearly salary.

MVP had grown in popularity since 2021 when James Conrad made the infamous "Holy Shot" to send the tournament into a playoff and win the World Championship. In 2022, Simon had his best season in disc golf, winning four DGPT Elite Series events. His wins last season were his first DGPT wins since 2018. According to MVP, "The Leading Edge in disc golf now is paired with the leading man in disc golf - charisma, charm, and one heck of an arm."

Simon wasted no time sharing his excitement with his fans. He posted his announcement video and bag reveal to his YouTube channel.

He will be able to bag MVP, Axiom, and Streamline discs. With the 2023 DGPT only about one month away, Simon has work to do to get his bag nailed down before the season starts.

With Simon officially aboard MVP, they plan to kick things off with the Eclipse Hex, Simon's first Team Series disc. According to MVP, the disc will be released at local dealers soon.
